Live Blood Cell Microscopy
Live Blood Cell Microscopy is a tool used by many holistic health professionals to gain an understanding of the internal environment of the body, what us live blood cell folk refer to as the “terrain”. An imbalanced terrain can show how your lifestyle has impacted your health. This is merely a tool and cannot diagnose a specific condition, however it is extremely useful in identifying imbalances and most importantly, monitoring progress with follow-up visits. For people who argue that live blood cell is quackery, then why do all clients differ? Why is it that the general patterns we see in live blood cell microscopy match closely to the symptoms of the client? Why do symptoms start improving based on recommendations made merely according to analysis findings? Once you make the dietary changes and recognize that your symptoms correlate to specific live blood cell findings, you’ll see that your health will improve not just on the screen, but you’ll feel it, too!
Functional Labs
Does bloodwork look normal, but symptoms still persist? Alternative practitioners love using additional tools like functional lab testing because they help pinpoint specific issues that bloodwork can’t always do. This includes, GI issues, metabolic and hormonal imbalances, adrenal health and so much more.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)
HTMA is one of the best, cost-efficient ways to identify mineral status and deficiencies. Not only does it show mineral levels, but the relationship between these minerals indicate so much more. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on functional medicine labs and learned more in just 1 HTMA test. I truly believe mineral imbalances are the leading cause of many health issues. Again, this is a tool I use in my practice, and it’s not meant to diagnose any specific health condition.
SIBO Breath Test
If a client has been diagnosed with IBS or is exhibiting IBS symptoms, I most often recommend SIBO breath testing. Up to 70% of people diagnosed with IBS test positively for SIBO. This is a non-invasive test that will indicate whether or not methane-dominant, or hydrogen-dominant bacteria, are present.
