Live Blood Cell FAQS

How does it work?

With a tiny prick of the finger, a drop of blood is placed on a microscope slide and viewed under a darkfield microscope at a magnification of over 1,000 times. The image is then displayed live where both myself and the client can see their blood in action–in real time! The purpose of live blood cell analysis is to identify anomalies in the blood. The shape of your red blood cells, the state of your plasma, the presence of white blood cells—these are all indicative of the state of your body.

How does it differ from traditional blood testing?

Traditional blood testing includes preserved blood. The sample is stained, is essentially dead, and analyzed hours later. Live blood cell is viewed within seconds and the sample is active for 20 minutes. In a lot of cases, I do ask that clients show recent bloodwork as some tests are relevant in identifying health issues. Traditional blood tests have their benefits and their flaws, especially with thyroid, vitamin and mineral results—this is where live blood cell analysis and/or HTMA can help fill in the gaps.

What can we identify with live blood cell analysis?

  • Adrenal/thyroid imbalances

  • Allergies

  • Heavy metals

  • Parasites

  • Candida

  • Leaky gut

  • Impaired digestion

  • Toxicity

  • Dehydration

  • Vitamin/mineral imbalances

…and more

HTMA FAQS

Do I still need to get traditional blood work?

Blood tests and urine tests provide important information about a person's biochemical status, but they only evaluate the fluids in the body. Did you know that the majority of biochemical functions in the body actually take place inside the cells? Now we can’t go ahead and start snipping away at people’s organs, but the cells of the hair paint a really helpful picture. This is shown in an extensive amount of research, specifically by Dr. Paul Eck. Dr. Eck identified that minerals are crucial for the healthy functioning of all bodily systems, including enzymatic reactions and hormonal balance. He found that the levels did have some value, but what was more important was the balance of minerals collectively, and their ratios with one another.

“Minerals are the principal energy-producing components of the human body. It is the relationships between the minerals in your tissues that help determine your physical and emotional destiny. Through an understanding and control of these basic laws of human energy, you can vastly increase the intensity and quality of your life.”

-Dr. Paul Eck

How does it work?

It’s so simple! Once you’ve agreed to HTMA, I will send you an intake form and you’ll mail your hair sample directly to the lab. The instructions are very straightforward, but to summarize, you’ll cut about an inch of your hair, put it in an envelope and send it off. Results time vary depending on where you’re located, but you can expect results in 2-3 weeks. You want to cut close to the root and dispose of the ends of hair, as the root represents your current mineral status.

When will you see results?

It’s hard to say. Mineral improvements take time, but you should notice positive changes almost immediately. It’s really dependent on the amount of work and dedication on your end.

What can you expect?

Based on the results of your HTMA, you can either be a slow oxidizer, fast oxidizer or mixed. Depending on these results, I will provide a recommended diet and supplement program to follow. It’s important to re-test every 3-4 months to monitor your progress. We adjust the supplements and dietary plan as your results improve.
